If you’re looking for an educational project for Orange Shirt Day, this video tutorial from Stephanie Tenasco will come in very handy!

This project creates an opportunity to think and talk about the significance of Orange Shirt Day while learning a new skill and making something to wear in the lead up to Orange Shirt Day and Truth and Reconciliation Day.

You don’t need a huge amount of supplies to get started. Here is a list of what you need:

Shirt pattern (paper, sharpie + paper scissors
Pellon material (for backing)
Beading thread
Size 10 beading needle
Orange beads (2 different shades of orange)
Scissors
Glue stick
Brooch pin
