Soaring Circle in Tisdale

We had a great time at the Trade and Tech Day in Tisdale, SK with @skillscansask on Wednesday! Our program coordinator Jenny had the chance to share our program and her journey into sewing and textiles and students had a chance to come and try a #Janome sewing machine at our booth!
Soaring Circle is proud to partner with Skills Canada Saskatchewan to bring new opportunities to Indigenous youth through healthy competition and mentorship. These events help develop skills, foster new friendships and meet professionals working in the trades.

Tisdale Middle and Secondary School partners with the Kinistin Salteaux Nation. The goal of their Kinawind Partnership is to create a mutually beneficial and respectful relationship between Kinistin Salteaux Nation and the North East School Division. In the spirit of reconciliation, this Partnership builds on the strengths of both partners in providing greater opportunities for all children and youth.
We were excited to connect with both the sewing teacher and the new culture and language teachers to find out how #Sewcase can support them going forwards!
Stay tuned for announcement for the Northern Regional and Provincial Ribbon Skirt and Beading competitions for 2025!
